Are live talk shows or concerts with professional musicians. The live talk shows are interviews with well-known cultural personalities and live music selected by the person being interviewed. The club evenings are held roughly once a month. They take place in Lovisa’s old sausage factory and are open to everyone, with free admission.
The live talk shows are a concept started by musicians Mirella Pendolin and Kalle Katz, who are known in the Nyland region. An interesting cultural figure or artist is invited to a talk show in front of an audience, where they are interviewed about their life and professional career.
Before the interview, the guest is asked to make a list of 6–10 favorite songs from their life, which in some way relate to them or are connected to a life event, a memory, or something similar. The musicians hosting the talk show then create their own arrangements of these songs, which are played between segments of the interview.
The interviews are conducted in Swedish, Finnish, or English, depending on the guest’s mother tongue and preference. Previous guests have included, among others: Johanna Holmström (author), Mia Hafrén (singer), Kati Rapia (artist, comic artist), Frida Hultcrantz (artist), Sara Cantell (director), Jasmin Anoschkin (visual artist), Ilona Valkonen (visual artist), Markus Fagerudd (composer), and Monika Fagerholm (author).
